The iCal Importer functions by importing events from a iCal URL or an .ics file. If you use the iCal URL, you can set the importer to run at timed intervals, constantly grabbing new events from the source website. The importer can run just once, every 30 minutes, hourly, daily, weekly, or monthly.

You can configure as many different import rules as you like, sourcing events from a myriad of different websites.

Imported events can be set to draft or publish status, and can be categorized on import.
